Proposal Lifecycle Outline
How an idea turns into a winning proposal for the ASH DAO.
Member Contribution
The ASH Token project seeks members who bring meaningful discussion to the DAO. Contributors will need to join the Discord Server to start participating in the proposal process by being involved in the process. The contributor will be selected to join our Discourse server if their active participation aligns with ASH Token's mission, through a verification process.
Proposal Lifecycle
- A contributor can submit a draft of their proposal to the Discourse server where other contributors have a month or more to discuss and submit edits to the proposal. Once a final draft of the proposal is complete, it can be eligible to come up for a community wide vote.
- The vote on the final proposal can go up for community wide vote can only be conducted by a member of the DAO who holds at least 2% of ASH Token tokens on Snapshot.
- The vote on Snapshot will take a minimum of two weeks or a majority vote has been reached.
- After the voting has concluded, a two-day lockdown will be imposed for evaluation.
- Proposals that have passed this vote will go to the Navigators. Navigators will have up to 90 days to present how the proposal can be executed within the limits of funding and parameters of the Ash DAO's mission.
- A final vote on the proposal presented by the Navigators will be conducted by a member who holds 2% ASH Token tokens. Based on the type of proposal, the vote may be conducted off the blockchain through Snapshot or on the blockchain with Tally.xyz. The vote will take two weeks or a majority has been reached.
- The DAO will be locked down for 2 days to evaluate the vote.
- The Staff are then responsible for executing the proposal.
Proposals submitted for a vote cannot be altered during the process. Any outside incidents will not sway the process to stop, but the Navigators are responsible to adjust to external pressures before submitting the presentation.
